Навчально-методичний посібник призначений для здобувачів освітнього ступеня бакалавра зі спеціальності «Фізична культура і спорт». Його головною метою є навчання англійської мови на підставі лінгвокраїнознавчих матеріалів.

Передмова

Методичні рекомендації призначені для студентів 1-2 курсів, які продовжують вивчати англійську мову у вищому навчальному закладі, тому головним завданням є повторення лексико-граматичного матеріалу, що вивчався раніше, і підготовка студентів до самостійного читання та розуміння оригінального професійного тексту з мінімальним використанням словника. Навички усного мовлення розвиваються у межах теми, що вивчається.

Методичні рекомендації складаються з трьох розділів, які, у свою чергу діляться на тематичні підрозділи залежно від тематики, кількості невідомої лексики та складності граматичного матеріалу.

Структурно весь матеріал розподілено тематично, він в основному опрацьовується під керівництвом викладача в аудиторії. Кожний розділ вміщує відомості зі лінгвокраїнознавства, а також систему різноманітних вправ.

На аудиторних заняттях лексико-граматичний матеріал домашнього завдання перевіряється і закріплюється в основному на нових, відмінних від домашніх, вправах і текстах, що побудовані на вивченому лексичному та граматичному матеріалі.

Тематичні розділи методичних рекомендацій: I «Україна» (Ukraine)(28), ІІ «Великобританія» (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) (22), ІІІ «США» (USA)(22). У дужках вказана рекомендована кількість годин, на практиці вона залежить від підготовки студентів.

Загальний обсяг лексики у середньому 3000 одиниць, включаючи інтернаціональні слова. Активний словник складає приблизно 1500 слів.

Активна лексика подається до роботи з новим текстом, або ж її значення розкривається у контексті.

Зміст текстів відповідає темі розділу із дотриманням принципу зростання складності та повторюваності лексики.

Всі тексти, як написані авторами, так і оригінальні, є фабульними, пізнавальними та несуть виховне значення.

Всі тексти і робота над ними є підготовкою до читання і розуміння оригінальної професійної літератури.
