MOTIVATION

Have you seen models walking on the stage? What can you say about their body posture? How did they walk? Compare you posture with the models, how are you going to improve your posture? Do you want to be a model too?

PRESENTATION

Show pictures of some models showing their good posture. Let the pupils describe correct posture. Tell the pupils that they will do some activities that will improve their posture in order to have a good posture like models.Tell them that they are going to assess themselves if they have correct posture in doing different activities.

DISCUSSION

Discuss the topic.

GENERALIZATION

There are different activities that will help us improve our posture. We have book relay, line walk and others. We should always have correct posture in any activity that we do.

APPLICATION

Group pupils into two. Give each group an activity card. The teacher will guide each group on what they are going to do.

Group I- Imagine yourself that you are a model of clothing apparel you are going to walk showing your different kind of apparel.

Group II- Imagine yourself that you are walking only in a single line. Walk with this single line.

PRESENTATION

Recall the 3 kinds of punctuation Yesterday, I learned the three punctuation marks

Answer: period, question mark and exclamation point. Show the pictures on the board. What can you say about the picture? Pick a picture and then ask a question about the picture.

What is the lady holding?

She is holding lots of papers.

Oh no! She dropped the paper on the wet floor!

What punctuation mark do you see in the first sentence?

Why did I put a _________ at the end of the sentence?

How about the second and third sentences?

GENERALIZATION

Punctuation marks are used in books, magazines, comics and other reading materials. We can classify them as period, question marks and exclamation point. It is important to know and understand how to use punctuation marks because they will tell us when to stop and what kind of sentence we are using.

APPLICATION

Study the picture and write your own sentences using the three punctuation marks that you have learned today. (Please refer to LM, I Can Do It)

IV. EVALUATION

Take books, newspapers or magazines from home to school (or vice-versa) for independent/extra reading. Look for more punctuation marks and locate information from different sources.
