Today we are going to continue talking about medicine, to review the theme “Present Tenses”. First let’s review grammar rules watching the presentation (учащиеся смотрят презентацию и повторяют правила). Read Grammar Reference on page 15. Ex. 10 p. 15 Now match sentences 1-8 with uses a – h. Example: She comes from France. - a Read the table about state verbs and action verbs. Ex. 11 p. 16 Read the sentences and say which verbs express states and which verbs express actions. Example: I have a dog. – state verb. Ex. 7 p. 13 Read the text and discuss the questions in pairs. Now let’s discuss them all together. Ex. 8 p. 14 Read the British and American parents’ common expressions that teenagers hear from them. Get into groups of four. Discuss what parents mean when they use them. Tell your opinions to the class. Do you hear some of these expressions from your parents?

Fill in the table. Ex. 3 p. 18 Answer the questions. Ex. 4 p. 18 Read the leisure activities. Make up sentences. Example: I think football is boring. I think running is useful. Ex. 5 p. 18 Read the article. Read and choose the best definition of the phrase “a coach potato” Draw a table in your copybooks and divide the activities into lazy and energetic. Ex. 6 p. 19 Divide into the groups of four. Make plans for a new club or leisure facility for your village. Think over the name of the club, the type of music, the opening hours, the age limit and other rules. Then present it to the class. Ex. 7 p. 19 Tell about what you like doing. Ex. 8 p. 20 Jigsaw. Divide into 2 groups. The first group reads the text A, the second group – text B. The speaker of each group goes to another group and tells them what is his text about. Then they comes back and do the tasks. Write down the words in to 2 columns. Answer the questions.
