Эзоп жил в Греции более двух тысяч лет назад. Он был слугой богатого человека. Он придумывал истории о человеке и животных и сказывал их своим друзьям. Каждая история имеет мораль.

Всем нравилось слушать истории, которые он рассказал. Небольшая история с моралью называется басня. Матери и отцы рассказывали сказки Эзопа детям. Кто слышал басни в Греции и рассказывал их в других странах.

Басни Эзопа 15-го века были переведены на французский, английский и немецкий язык. В России они были переведены во времена Петра Великого.

Эзоп стал известен во всем мире и его басни рассказывают сегодня, они обращают внимание людей на то, что плохо и помогают людям стать лучше.
