6. Imagination
Do you want to have a spontaneous lesson? Do you have any materials to show children? No? That’s ok, because everything you we need is to construct Little Big Planet with the help of imagination.
Construct your own Little Big Planet and let your learners color this imaginary planet. You don’t know how? First try to understand what imagination is, because you are going to make your own authentic imaginarium lesson. So, what is imagination? Imagination is a manifestation of our memory and enables us to scrutinize our past and construct hypothetical future scenarios that do not yet, but could exist. Imagination also gives us the ability to see things from other points of view and empathize with others. As teacher, use it effectively in your lesson. Use these tools when you don’t have anything to teach (for example, you’ve finished lesson earlier) or your students are tired try using imagination as a tool to diversify the lesson. You have this tool, imagine that it’s your hidden superpower and you just need to pull the trigger, bullet is your knowledge and you need ignite students minds. Imagination is your knowledge in simple and abstract form at the same time. Everything what you need is to already with you.. Our knowledge and personal goals are embedded within our imagination which is at the heart of our existence, a cognitive quality that make us human beings. Imagination is the means novelists use to create their stories. Teacher is a novelist, learners are the source of inspiration. If you have imagination and inspiration everything is possible. Teacher become genius and learners become omniscient. How? The answer is simple – by means of imagination.
Techniques and methods of imagination
Imagination is more important than knowledge. Why? Because its power it is the ultimate creative power. The real key to turning imagination into reality is acting as if the imagined scene were real and already accomplished. Instead of pretending it is a scene from the future, imagine it as though you are truly experiencing it in the present. It is a real event now. The great masters of antiquity told us to use it through the ages. Some believed whatever you believe you become. If you believe and imagine in the now that you are what you wish to be then reality must conform.
Imagination
is very effective and profitable tool in organizing lessons, because
it has a big power. So, how can we make sense of methods and
techniques of imagination?
Here are circles, but all of them are different sizes. Is it mean, that small circle is less effective than big circle? Of course, no. Imagination doesn’t have exact methods that can make it work, because it’s a wide concept with unclear sense. The best quality of imagination and its difference from other human capabilities is that imagination has independent trajectory of thinking. We don’t have methods of imagining, but we can imagine and create these methods. For example, my methods and techniques of imagination are so simple, but their value to learning and creative process is hard to overestimate.
