1.3 Calling basic blocks
Step-by-step guide
⇒ in the basic menu: click call
⇒ Selection of the required basic block opens a preview window and explanatory texts
⇒ Double-click the required construction to start it
The function call
All basic blocks available in the selected measurement system can be started with the function call. Under General you can find constructions that can be called in a number of measurement systems. The section Optimass (basis _d) contains constructions that can only be called in the current measurement system.
Calling a basic block
A selected basic block (picture 1-4) is called by double-click.
Start Grafis Bodice 10. Your first basic block is displayed on screen.
Before calling a different basic block click on N*reset in the basic menu and then click on test run. The previously called basic block is thus reset.

1.4 Quit Grafis
⇒ in the basic menu: open the pull-down menu File and click on Save. Save as…or Close
To quit Grafis select between the following in the pull-down menu File:
Save…
Save the current state of the style under the current name.
Save as…
Save the current state of the style under a new name and/or a new drive (disk) and/or a new collection
Close
If the style has not been saved a security question appears.
1.5 Work with measurement charts
The basis for generating the first pattern in the different sizes are measurement charts.
Each measurement chart is valid for a particular measurement system (e.g. measurement system for men, women or children). It is also possible to implement own measurement systems into Grafis. Selection of the measurement system ensues when starting Grafis, already.
Grafis distinguishes between standard measurement charts and individual measurement charts.
Standard measurement charts contain the measurements of prepared ‚off-the-peg’ sizes. The values and names of these charts cannot be altered. Individual measurement charts contain measured body measurements or body measurements of company specific grade runs. Individual measurement charts can be altered at all times.
Opening and processing measurement charts (picture 1-6) ensues via the pull-down menu Extras |Edit Measurement Charts.

Generate standard measurement charts
Step-by-step guide
⇒ Extras | Edit Measurement Charts
⇒ From the option Standard- / Individual measurement
chart select Standard measurement chart
⇒ Select the figure type required
⇒ Enter the required size in the dialogue box Size name; half-sizes are also possible
Grafis is installed with one size. Any other size has to be generated.
Standard sizes as well as “half-sizes” can be generated, e.g. 38.5. Grafis calculates the “half-sizes” through interpolation.
Generate individual measurement charts
Step-by-step guide
⇒ Extras | Edit Measurement Charts
⇒ Select Individual measurement chart from the
option Standard- / Individual measurement chart.
⇒ Select the figure type of the person and enter the best fitting standard size to select the measurement chart template.
⇒ Enter the name for the individual measurement chart (e.g. name of the person) in the Name dialogue box.
⇒ Edit the individual measurement chart by entering the measurements taken on the person into
the table.
Select Individual measurement chart in the measurement chart window.
Select the figure type and enter the best fitting standard size for the person for which you
are generating the measurement chart.
You can also print measurement chart, or delete it. To export/ import of measurement charts go to Extras | Export/Import Measurement charts
