Laboratory practical work developed in accordance with the requirements of State Educational Standards for specialties and curriculum of the course “Applied Theory of Information” and comprises all necessary data on accomplishment of the course laboratory practical work themes.

Laboratory practical work is intended for students of 5B070200 – “Automation and Control” specialty.

Laboratory practical work comprises instructions on the accomplishment of laboratory works and versions of tasks to laboratory works for the course “Applied Theory of Information”. Necessary recommendations are given in each laboratory work and also similar examples are considered. Distinctive feature of instructions is availability of a plenty of detailed exercises explaining the order and features of use of tools and commands of appropriating editors.

Introduction

«The Applied Theory of Information» course is a compulsory subject for high education institution students is included in curriculum as discipline.

The aim of the course teaching is receiving of fundamental knowledge on the base of the applied theory of information, on the problems of measurement, presentation, coding, transmission and reception of information in the different forms of its presentation.

Students must know:

  • theoretical basis of information theory

  • methods and collection means, transmission and processing of information

  • the main processes, descended by transforming of message into signal and their transmission by the channels and lines of connection

  • absolute questions of accumulation systems construction, transmission and processing of information

In the result of learning course students must be able:

  • to apply theoretical and experimental skill of accumulation typical system research, transmission and information processing

  • to carry out calculating work by working out of transformation systems and information transmission.

General direction to carrying out of laboratory work and technical safety rules

Laboratory work was provided by the curriculum course on the learning of “the Applied theory of Information“ learning course. Confirming of theoretical material course, to receive practical skills in building of transformation and transmission system in the medium of «Matlab» и «LabVIEW» virtual laboratory MathCAD package got into technology experimental research carrying out, to acquire skills on processing and the valuation of experimental result are required from the students in the process of laboratory carrying out. Students carry out laboratory works on personal ECM with the application of «Matlab» и «LabVIEW» simulative package, MathCAD package. Students may unit in groups no more of two if it is necessary.

Before carrying out of laboratory work students must know theoretical part of the given part to present the aim and content of carried out work clearly, must be acquainted with safety engineering elements and must carry out strictly.

In the given practical work short theoretical data by every work is given, the aim and content of work is noted, and laboratory work carrying out order are set out.

Using with conducting to laboratory works students must clarify the assignment and content of the work presented in the given conducting , introduce with the scheme of researching system of transformation and transmission information, to define experience sequence .

A report by executive laboratory work is composed by the students. The reports must be carried out clearly to read the content of work without difficulty, to analyze schemes and digital materials. Graphic part of the work can be carried out by copying from the monitor to computer. A student gives conclusion by work on theoretical data base and results received from the experience.

The reports by carried out laboratory work are presented to the teacher at the next lesson. Students that didn’t present laboratory works, and don’t prepare for the lesson aren’t allowed to the carrying out of the next work.

Examination is carried out after carrying out of laboratory works provided by the curriculum. The students presenting to the colloquium with teacher for receiving exam must present all reports by laboratory work.

A student must:

1. study theoretical and practical material very well

2. explain the device of SAU modeling scheme, its components competently

3. know experience carrying out order

4. analyze graphic material received from the experiment

5. make conclusion by carried out work by every laboratory work

laboratory works are performed by means of the PC. Special requirements to the safety engineering rean’t required.
