Передмова
Практикум призначений для формування професійної іншомовної компетенції у студентів четвертого курсу напрямів підготовки 6.050501 «Прикладна механіка», 6.050502 «Інженерна механіка», 6.050503 «Машинобудування» Механіко-машинобудівного інституту.
Цей практикум відповідає вимогам робочої навчальної програми кредитного модуля «Іноземна мова для професійно-орієнтованого спілкування. Ділове мовлення» дисципліни «Іноземна мова професійного спрямування», розрахований на десять годин навчального часу і може використовуватися на практичних заняттях з англійської мови та для самостійної роботи студентів.
Практикум охоплює п’ять професійно-орієнтованих тем: “The creation of steam engines”, “Steam engines: developments of the Industrial Revolution”, “Modern high-pressure steam engines”, “Internal combustion engines”, “Gas-turbine engine”. Кожна тема містить автентичні британські тексти за фахом та розроблені вправи (некомунікативні, умовно-комунікативні, комунікативні) до них.
Розроблені вправи для студентів технічних спеціальностей уможливлюють формування навичок, розвиток і удосконалення вмінь в аудіюванні, читанні, говорінні (діалогічному і монологічному мовленні), письмі та перекладі.
Розвиваючи інтерес студентів до вивчення іноземної мови та підвищуючи їхню мотивацію до навчання, розроблений курс сприятиме підвищенню ефективності навчального процесу.
