9. Make a report or presentation about the famous chemist you know. Tell it to your group and vote for the most interesting report/ presentation. Past Indefinite (Simple) Tense
Past Simple используется для обозначения действия, которое произошло в определенное время в прошлом и время совершения которого уже истекло; регулярно повторяющееся действие в прошлом (часто со словами every day каждый день, often часто, at first сначала и т. д.)
Eg.: He wrote letters to his parents every day.
Он писал письма родителям каждый день.
Форма глагола в Past Simple (Indefinite) действительного залога образуется прибавлением к основе правильного глагола суффикса -ed (to start начинать — started начал), а для неправильных глаголов — совпадает со второй формой (to begin начинать — began начал).

He gets up at seven o’clock. He washes his face, cleans her teeth and combs. He goes to the kitchen and has his breakfast. For breakfast he has a cup of coffee and cheese. When the breakfast is over, he goes to the office. He takes bus to get to his work.
At the office he works till two o’clock. At two o’clock he has dinner. He finishes his work at seven o’clock in the evening. He decides to walk a little after his working day. He returns home at nine. He doesn’t want to have supper, only drinks tea. Suddenly he remembers that he has to visit his friend. He dials the number but nobody answers. His friend is not at home.
