Учебное пособие состоит из двух разделов («Общий менеджмент» и «Специальный менеджмент»), включающих 16 тематических модулей, в которых рассматриваются вопросы, связанные с управлением в сфере таможенного дела. В пособии также предлагается дополнительный текстовый материал для самостоятельной работы студентов.

Предисловие
Учебное пособие предназначено для студентов экономического факультета, изучающих английский язык по направлению подготовки 080200 «Менеджмент».
Пособие разработано в соответствии с требованиями ФГОС ВПО и может быть использовано в рамках учебных курсов «Иностранный язык», «Прикладной иностранный язык».
Пособие имеет практическую направленность. Цель пособия – формирование общекультурной компетенции (ОК-14) менеджеров таможенной службы (профили подготовки – «Менеджмент таможенных услуг», «Производственный менеджмент», «Финансовый менеджмент»), предусматривающей владение иностранным языком на уровне, обеспечивающем эффективную профессиональную деятельность.
Пособие состоит из двух разделов («Общий менеджмент» и «Специальный менеджмент»), которые, в свою очередь, организованы в 16 тематических модулей, раскрывающих проблемы общей теории менеджмента и специфические вопросы в сфере управления таможенным делом (в частности, проблемы организации таможенной службы России и ее реформирования; внедрение информационных компьютерных технологий в деятельность таможенных служб; управление таможенными рисками; проблемы финансового менеджмента и таможенных платежей и др.).
Каждый тематический модуль предваряется предтекстовым заданием для формирования познавательного интереса студента и организации его последующей работы над текстом для изучающего чтения.
Послетекстовые задания предусматривают проверку понимания прочитанного, а также выполнение упражнений, направленных на формирование фонетических, лексических и грамматических навыков и речевых компетенций обучаемых.
В пособии используются интерактивные формы и методы (ролевая игра, кейс-метод, метод проектов). Значительная роль отводится активизации познавательной творческой и эвристической деятельности студентов в процессе изучения учебного материала.
Степень полноты формирования языковых и речевых компетенций обучаемых проверяется с помощью разработанных автором контрольных измерительных материалов (тестов), охватывающих основной материал каждого модуля.
Автором также разработана анкета для самопроверки знаний и компетенций студентов, приобретенных в процессе изучения каждого модуля.
Заключительная часть пособия предлагается для самостоятельной работы студентов и включает дополнительный текстовый материал для просмотрового и поискового чтения, тематически связанный с основными разделами пособия.
