2.3. Calculation and Design Section
The explanatory note provides engineering and geological conditions of the construction site and necessary calculations of the foundations. Structure calculation is performed in accordance with the requirements of SNIP.
The explanatory note must contain a description of the foundation, structures to be calculated from the characteristics of materials; data taken into account loads; static analysis; the selection section and a description of the basic principles of design.
Graphic part of the section is carried out on 2 sheets:
foundations (2-3 projections with reinforcement elements, specifications, and basic instructions for its fabrication and installation);
reinforced concrete or steel structure under construction and installation units.
The main inscription on construction products, the drawings executed on Form 4 GOST 21.101-97, specification in form 7.

3. Design part
The selection for the design of the foundation and the structure is made by the supervisor.
Geological engineering conditions of the construction site and the necessary calculations of foundations are in the explanatory note. The building structure calculation is performed in accordance with the requirements of SNIP. Only one the design is subject to calculation and design.

Graphic part of the design part is carried out on 2 – pages:
the foundations (2-3 elevations with reinforcement elements, the specifications and the general notes for its fabrication and installation);
reinforced concrete, metal or wooden structure in development stage and erection joint.
