11. Your fiend has missed a class about setting up a DBMS. Tomorrow he is going to pass the missed material to the teacher, but he asks you to help him. Use these notes to tell him what you know about the operation of a DBMS. Fill in the gaps in the passages choosing the words from the box.

1) A field can be made up of a combination of numbers and letters. You look at a catalogue cart in your current data base and indentify eleven fields, including type of movie, title and call number.

2) Each catalogue card with all its entries about a single movie is a record. Since your catalogue consists of title and subject cards, you have two records for each movie listed in your data base.

3) Your subject catalogue is one file; your title catalogue is another. Your DBMS will eliminate duplicate records and combine two fields.

Over the years, the world has witnessed enormous, yet not fully coordinated evolution of telecommunication services such as telephony, cable, microwave terrestrial and satellite. And one can not deny the role of telecommunications in oar life.

Nowadays people live in information era, when information is the key and engine of progress. World society needs perfect means of information exchange that is why all types of telecommunication are under the permanent developing.

It is a common knowledge that future is speed and power. New technologies in electronics continue developing. Computers become more compact, faster and inexpensive. Real revolution in manufacture, accumulation, treatment of matter begins when first universal machines appeared and telecommunication systems were created

Currently hundreds of millions of people use wireless communication means. Cell phone is no longer a symbol of prestige but a tool, which lets to use working time more effectively. Today we can connect straight to the Internet using our cell phone and are able to take a picture or a short movie, using our video cell phone.

Telecommunications change world very much and quickly and probably will change the human being in the coming few decades.
