§ 9. The past simple tense (Простий минулий час)

вживається для передачі:

-дій, які сталися у минулому:

Ex: Last summer she fell in love.

-послідовних дій:

Ex: She sealed the letter, put a stamp on it and post it.

У минулому часі використовуються слова та словосполучення:

The day before yesterday, a week ago, last month, yesterday morning, just now, a long time ago.

Ex 1. Open the brackets and give the proper form of the verb “to be” in the Past Simple.
