The Choice of Future Profession

For most people choosing a career is not an easy task. The profession a person chooses in many ways determines his future life. Moreover, the properly chosen career makes a person happy and successful for the rest of his life. Much depends on the inclinations and interests of the person. And of course, everybody dreams of a prestigious and interesting job. The problem of prestige is subjective. When the job is prestigious money is of secondary importance. The main thing is that the future profession should be interesting and meet the demands of the person.

For me, the most important criterion is job-satisfaction, and that's why I entered college of Economies and Management “Alexandrovsky Lyceum” and have chosen the profession of a logistics manager. It is one of the most fashionable and prestigious professions of today. Our competence and knowledge in this sphere is required by the developing business economy and besides, is well-paid.

After college I am going to enter the institute and work at a firm or a company. My weakness is probably that I’m a bit disorganized and lazy. But I’m sure that my knowledge of English will make me more advantage than the others while applying for a job. I also tell my future employers that I know the word of processing, typing and have some computer skills. In a two – year time I may be having a driving license as well.

However, there are also disadvantages that apply to this profession. My job involves a lot of communication, dealing with customers about the mode of transports, arrange customs clearance on behalf of my clients. Sometimes it may be tiring, and you have to form lots of documents, and you should be extremely responsible.

I think that I have chosen the right profession and I will get best results in it. So, I will study hard at college because I’m very motivated. I hope I will acquire a great amount of skills there. I believe working in logistics is a very valuable and challenging profession that requires complete dedication, love of the job and lots of enthusiasm.
