Numerals (числівники)
Numerals are divided into cardinal (кількісні: one, two, ten) i ordinal (порядкові: the first, the second).

Числівники hundred, thousand, million вживаються з числівником one або з артиклем а: e.g. one hundred (a hundred)
У сполученні з іншими числівниками слова hundred, thousand, million не мають форми множини: e.g. three hundred, two million, five thousand,
Розряди тисяч i мільйонів відокремлюються комою: e.g. 6,541; 202,035; 4,678,000.
Ordinals (порядкові числівники)
Порядкові числівники утворюються від відповідних кількісних числівників додаванням суфікса –th та означеного артикля the перед числівником:

NOTE:
деякі числівники, перетворюючись у порядкові, змінюють свою форму: e.g. Five – fifth, eight— eighth, nine — ninth, twelve — twelfth;
порядкові числівники, що означають десятки, змінюють кінцевий -у на -іе:e.g. twenty — twentieth, sixty — sixtieth;
у складених порядкових числівниках лише останнй розряд виражаеться порядковим числівником:
e.g. 6,541 — six thousand five hundred and forty-first
дати виражаються порядковими числівниками: e.g. She was barn on the tenth of May.
роки читаються таким чином: e.g. 1900 - nineteen hundred; 1908 - nineteen eight (nineteen hundred and eight); 1925- nineteen twenty-five (nineteen hundred and twenty-five);
слово year після числівника не вживається, але іноді може ставитись перед ним: e.g. In the year nineteen ninety-eight.

A building may be one-, two-, and three-storied or even higher. There are many multi-storeyed houses in Kyiv. American multi-storeyed buildings are called _______ .
