I’m afraid, I’ve got rather (довольно ) a bad cold ( Я довольно сильно простудился)
Possible reactions to such replies [ rip’laiz] (ответы) are:
Oh, dear ( боже мой)
I’m sorry (to hear that) (жаль, сочувствую)
e. g. – Hallo, Steve. How are you getting on?
Fine, thanks. What about you?
Oh, not too bad.
P. S. When you are glad to see someone you can say: -« Nice to see you». A person you address may reply: – «Nice to see you too».

Exercise 1. Choose the best answer.
1. When you meet someone whom you know only slightly (мало ) (in the morning) you say :
a) How do you do ? b) Good morning c) Hallo.
2 . When you meet an acquaintance [ə'kweint(ə)n(t)s] (знакомый/ая) аt about ( около) 12. 30 p .m. you say:
