1.7.3. Plumbing pumping stations
To composition of pumping stations there are belong main (working) and reserve working aggregates, pumps of special assignment (fire protection, drainage, etc), and also auxiliary equipment, which provides normal work of aggregates (electric equipment, lifting-transportation mechanisms, control-measuring and signal devices etc). As a rule, building of pump stations is projected in the plane as round or rectangular.
According to the location in the general water supply scheme and assignment stations are subdivided into stations of the first and second lifting, increasing and circulation.
Stations of the first lifting are intended for pumping over of water from the source of water supply to the cleaning buildings, and if cleaning is not needed – into clean water reservoir. For stable work of water receiving and cleaning constructions providing, pumps of the 1st lifting station are calculated on uniform giving of water during 24 hours. Water giving during 24-hour work of the 1st lifting station should be taken, as a rule, as equal to average-hour expenses of water per 24 hours of the biggest water consumption taking into consideration water expenses for renovation of fire prevention reserve and personal requirements of buildings for mater cleaning and water supply system as a whole.
Stations of the second lifting pump water from reservoirs of the clean water to consumer. Because water consumption for economically-drinking needs is not uniform during 24 hours, pumping stations provide water giving taking into account this irregularity. Giving of pumps of the second lifting should be determined by the graph of water consumption and approved scheme of water supply. Also should be taken into consideration that tower less systems have summary giving of pumps of the second lifting should be not less than maximal hour expenses. Water should be given to consumers not only in necessary quantity and quality but also with certain stress, which provides station of the second lifting and water-pressure tower.
For providing of giving of calculating expenses of the water for fire extinction with saving of necessary free pressure should foresaw in necessary cases of installation of fire-fighting aggregates in pump stations of the second lifting or by equipping of special fire-fighting stations.
Circulation pump stations are installed in systems of technical water supply in cases when it is necessary to provide water circulation, for example in closed cooling systems.
Increasing pump systems increase water pressure in plumbing network. Pumps in this case connected immediately to plumbing network.
Category of reliability of pump station, quantity of working and reserve aggregates and other readings during projecting of pump stations should be accepted by СНіП 2ю04ю02-84. Optimal regime of work of pumps is determined according to results of hydraulic calculation of the network and technical-economical calculations of cistern volume of water-pressure towers and reservoirs of clean water. According to results of calculations are chosen typical projects of water-pressure stations. On the dr.1.27 is shown construction of pump station of 1st lifting.
