When the student of the specialty “Installation, maintenance and repair of electrical installations in agriculture“ finishes agricultural technical school he is prepared for production and engineering activities associated with installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and means of automation in agriculture. Specialist is prepared for production and technological activity associated with installation, maintenance and repair of electrical and automation in agriculture. The leaver gets educational qualification – Junior Specialist and receives the profession – Technician Electrician.

The role of future technician electrician in the maintenance of electrical installations in agricultural production is invaluable.

The appointment of the specialist (призначення фахівця). Specialist gets training for production and engineering activities associated with installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and means of automation in agriculture.

Specialist needs to know: laws, resolutions, orders, decisions of state and local governments in agriculture; the achievements of science and the best experience in the branch of electrification of agriculture; the analysis and assessment of energy supply of agricultural enterprise (аналіз і оцінка енергопостачання сільськогосподарського підприємства), modern methods of scheduling maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and means of automation (сучасні методи обслуговування, планування і ремонту електроустаткування та засобів автоматизації), modern techniques of internal power and lighting and electrical wiring in industrial facilities for agricultural use (сучасну методику проектування внутрішніх силових і освітлювальних електропроводок та електрообладнання у виробничих об’єктах сільськогосподарського призначення); foundations of computer science (основи інформатики), computer engineering and programming in agriculture; rules and regulations of labour protection, industrial hygiene, fire protection; taking care about environment. The more the electrician knows and makes the more successful is agriculture.

Of great importance are the organizational skills of the future electrician which are based on knowledge and skills in engineering, technology, psychology, management. They are to be able to organize production, operation of electrical equipment, manage his subordinates and achieve good results in production. From the work of electrician depends the quality of the work of electrical systems of tractors, lorries in the field, on the farm, in greenhouse, etc.

S pecialist should be able to analyze and evaluate (оцінювати) the organization, quality, reliability and level of energy supply farms; use regulatory, planning, reporting and accounting documents (використовувати нормативну, планову, звітну та облікову документацію), methods of analytical work using the regulatory, planning, accounting records to analyze the organization of work on efficient use of electricity; use the regulatory and planning documents for analyzing the quality of installation works; make notes of electric equipment, complexity of the calculation for each group (розрахувати трудомісткість роботи по кожній групі).

The main tasks and duties of specialists are: to ensure complex electrification of production process in crop and animal production processing of agricultural products (забезпечити всебічну електрифікацію виробничих процесів в галузях рослинництва, тваринництва, переробки сільськогосподарської продукції); to make choices of electrical equipment, rational distribution of working places and equipment and providing safety conditions of their work; to organize and ensure trouble-free and reliable operation of electrical equipment and process equipment, their proper and timely quality repairs, to prepare plan – schedules of maintenance and repair of equipment; observing schedules of maintenance, inspection and testing of equipment, order centralized technical maintenance, current and overhaul repairs; to order spare parts, tools and so on. Specialists must participate in receiving and installing new equipment to implement electrification means of laborious work (трудомістка робота); provide and perform debugging of electrical equipment (забезпечити і виконати налагодження електроустаткування), evaluate the quality and efficiency of their work; organize and enforce the fulfillment of electrified works (організувати та забезпечити виконання електрифікованих робіт), operations and processes; explore (досліджувати) the design of new machines, electrical equipment and industrial complexes to justify their purchase (щоб виправдати їх купівлю), to form the basis for electrical facilities of organizations (щоб сформувати електричну базу для організації) and to control the quality of machinery; to use modern computers and personal computers. Technician electrician has to improve the training of team members (члени колективу), develop innovative activity (розвивати раціоналізаторський рух) used in the scientific, technical and periodicals; control the quality of repair work and find the causes of defects, make the documentation for the writing-off of electrical machinery (зробити документацію по списанню електричних машин), to take measures to prevent accidents, professional diseases and to protect environment.

The technician electrician can hold positions (according to the classificatory of professions ДК -003-2005) : 1) electrical technician; 2) subdistrict electrician (електрик дільниці); 3) electrician at a shop ( електрик цеху); 4) electrician dispatcher ( електродиспечер); 5) electromechanic; 6) subdistrict electromechanic (електромеханік дільниці).

Граматичний матеріал: Інфінітив

Інфінітив – це не особова форма дієслова, яка тільки називає дію і відповідає на питання «що робити? що зробити?» в англійській мові інфінітив має одну просту і 5 складних форм. Інфінітив перехідних дієслів має форми часу і стану, а неперехідних – тільки часу:

Ознакою інфінітива є частка to, але в багатьох випадках інфінітив вживається без неї. Частка not перед інфінітивом вказує на заперечну форми. Інфінітив у формі Indefinite вживається:

1) якщо дія, яку він виражає одночасна з дією, вираженою дієсловом – присудком речення: ( It’s very important to take care of the electrical equipment. Дуже важливо піклуватися про електрообладнання).

2) з дієсловами, що виражають намір,надію, бажання, Indefinite Infinitive означає дію, майбутню відносно дії, вираженої дієсловом-присудком ( I want to reduce the engine wear. Я хочу зменшити зношування двигуна).

3) з модальними дієсловами Indefinite Infinitive часто виражає майбутню дію ( The gasoline engines must have a carburetor. – Бензинові двигуни повинні мати карбюратор).

4) Continuous Infinitive виражає тривалу дію, що відбувається одночасно з дією, вираженою дієсловом-присудком: ( It was pleasant to be driving a combine-harvester again. – Приємно було знову вести комбайн). 5) Perfect Infinitive виражає дію, що передує дії, вираженій дієсловом- присудком ( I am very sorry the oil filters to have been damaged. – Мені дуже шкода, що зіпсовано масляні фільтри).

Perfect Continuous Infinitive виражає тривалу дію, що відбувалася протягом певного часу перед дією, вираженою дієсловом – присудком: (He must have been cutting the crop. – Очевидно, він косив зернові культури).
