Введение
Настоящее учебное пособие разработано для студентов второго курса юридического факультета (направление подготовки «юриспруденция», квалификация выпускника: бакалавр) по дисциплине «Прикладной иностранный язык (английский)». Практический курс по этой дисциплине направлен на формирование общекультурной компетенции, которая предусматривает владение необходимыми навыками профессионального общения на иностранном языке (ОК-13).
Целями учебного пособия являются:
- развитие навыков чтения профессионально-ориентированных текстов;
- накопление и систематизация словарного запаса, необходимого для общения на предлагаемые профессиональные темы;
- развитие умения аргументировать и выражать свое мнение по предложенной теме;
- закрепление изученного грамматического материала.
В учебном пособии представлены задания, направленные на закрепление навыков чтения профессионально-ориентированных текстов и изучение специальной юридической терминологии. Учебное пособие ставит своей задачей развить профессионально значимые умения, знания и навыки, обеспечивающие достижение уровня языковой компетенции, необходимого и достаточного для реализации целей профессиональной коммуникации, что достигается при использовании коммуникативно-ситуативных заданий, вовлекающих студентов в дискуссии профессионального характера.
Учебное пособие также нацелено на подготовку студентов к коммуникации в условиях иноязычного профессионального общения в рамках таких базовых профессиональных тем, как: «Классификация преступлений», «Виды преступлений», «Наказание», «Деликтное право», «Правовой статус и ответственность должностных лиц таможенных органов Российской Федерации».
Структура учебного пособия четко определена. Пособие состоит из пяти разделов. Каждый раздел содержит тексты, ряд послетекстовых упражнений, направленных на закрепление пройденного лексико-грамматического материала и развитие умений профессионального общения. В конце пособия предлагаются тексты повышенной сложности для дополнительного чтения. Это позволяет осуществлять принцип дифференциального подхода при обучении иностранному языку.
В конце каждого раздела представлены грамматические упражнения с использованием лексики профессионального характера по теме «Способы выражения нереальности в английском языке».
Предлагаемые задания обеспечивают проверку понимания прочитанного и степени сформированности навыков чтения и использование полученной информации для развития умения выражать свою точку зрения по предлагаемой теме при употреблении закрепленного терминологического минимума, а также позволяют осуществить контроль усвоения изучаемого грамматического материала.
