Evaluation of the lesson.

Evaluation may sound a bit scary, but it doesn't have to be. "Evaluation" doesn't always correspond to "testing." Evaluation can and should be carried out both during and after instruction. It may be both formal and informal.

Formal evaluation done after instruction-testing-confirms whether the teacher and students have successfully accomplished the objectives, but its results often come too late to do the students much good. Formal evaluation is a bit beyond the scope of this module. It typically involves either creating or selecting an appropriate language test and then administering, scoring, and interpreting it.

Assessment and evaluation studies may take place at the subject, department, or Institutional level, and range in size and scope from a pilot study to a complex project that addresses a number of different topics, involves hundreds of students, and includes a variety of methodologies.  Typically, assessment efforts are divided into two types, formative or summative. Below, each is described briefly along with a third less frequently seen type called process assessment. Included, as well, is a grid that classifies different assessment methodologies.

How to organize extra-curricular work.

Extra-curricular activities (ECA) are activities that take place outside regular class teaching and yet are related to student learning. As such, they fall within the scope of the school curriculum. ECA take care of the students’ different developmental needs such as their sense of moral values and attitudes, skills and creativity. Through their participation in ECA, students can learn to communicate, to co-operate with other people and in addition to enrichtheir life experience. If students are given the opportunities to organise ECA, they will gain first-hand experience of programme planning and leadership, thus enabling themselves to discover and develop their potential. ECA should have the following functions:

1.reinforcing classroom learning and allowing students to put their knowledge and skills into practice;

2.facilitating the teaching of certain skills and the inculcation of certain values which may present difficulties in a formal classroom setting;

3.promoting students’ personal development by broadening their

interests, developing their potential and providing opportunities for character formation and leadership training;

4.promoting students’ social development by offering opportunities for the broadening of their social experiences, the practice of social skills and the internationalisation of moral and social values; and

5.making school life more challenging and interesting

Characteristics of Primary School Teacher

It takes a special combination of skills and personality to make a good primary school teacher. The desire to connect with her students and the ability to keep on top of the many tasks she must manage in a day are among the most important skills One of the most important skills a good primary teacher possesses is the ability to connect with her students. Make an effort to get to know each student by name and to know something about him as quickly as possible. Each student has his own strengths and weaknesses and being able to make a connection with each one will help a teacher be able to educate most effectively A primary school teacher is usually responsible for a couple of dozen young children for many hours every weekday. The only way to manage the stress of dealing with educating a classroom full of students is to keep a sense of humor. A good primary school teacher is able to laugh at herself, inject humor into the classroom and manage problems without getting too caught up in negative emotions With so many small children and their education in her care, it is highly important for a good primary school teacher to be organized. There is no other way to keep track of what each student needs academically, stay on top of a multitude of projects and keep her sanity at the same time. She has the ability to stay organized throughout her day, to manage her time and to put her hands on the materials she needs easily.
