II. Put the verbs in brackets into the simple present or the present continuous tense.

7. These workmen are never satisfied; they always (complain).

III. Translate the following sentences from Russian into English.

1. Что ты слушаешь? — Я слушаю песни группы Битлз, я очень люблю их. 2. У моего брата есть автомобиль, но я никогда им не пользуюсь. Я хочу купить свой автомобиль. 3. Позвони на вокзал и узнай, когда приходит поезд из Астаны. 4. Я не люблю ее. Она постоянно ворчит. 5. Ты часто пишешь своим родителям? — Каждую неделю. Я и сейчас пишу им письмо. 6. Не бери эту книгу. Мой папа читает ее.

V. Put the verbs in brackets into the Past Simple or the Past Continuous tense.

1. He (not allow) us to go out in the boat yesterday as a strong wind (blow). 2. As I (cross) the road I (step) on a banana skin and (fall) heavily. 3. I still (lie) on the road when I (see) a lorry approaching. 4. Luckily the driver (see) me and (stop) the lorry in time. 5. VI. Put the verbs in brackets into the Present Perfect Continuous tense.

How long you (drive)? ~ I (drive) for ten years.

VII. Translate the following sentences from Russian into English.

1. Она вечно жаловалась. 2. Почему тебя не было на собрании вчера? — Я должен был встретить сестру на вокзале. 3. Когда ты видела его в последний раз? — Неделю назад в библиотеке. 4. Пока я готовила обед, мой муж чинил автомобиль. 5. Когда ты писал родителям в последний раз? — Месяц назад. 6. Мы жили в Москве 10 лет, а потом переехали в Минск.
