According to business dictionary, jurisdiction is power or right of a legal or political agency to exercise its authority over a person, subject matter, or territory. Nationality of website gives jurisdiction. E.g. you have a contract when you click on pay (in UK).
According to 2012 EU Directive On Data Protection: personal data must be explicitly asked for and allowed to leave within 24 hours.
1.4 Modes of communication obc are likely to need to use
There are several modes of communication that can be used by OBC, for example online chat rooms for students. Via these rooms students can share information and help each other. It us very useful and easy to access because everyone has phones with internet connection, moreover there is a Wi-Fi network at the college. Now OBC is using google classrooms, like an alternative to that chat rooms I have mentioned before, where tutors can give advices and answer questions and all student included to the class will see this helpful information. Usually tutors upload links and articles connected to courses. Moreover, students can upload assignments to classroom and receive immediate feedbacks from tutors, and uplod them not only from home but from busses as well – that saves time. Also, gdrive is popular at OBC, it gives you several options at one time such as storing, sharing and communicating. And, as I know, all student assignments that were submitted are stored at gdrive.
Another way to have one to one tutorials is Skype. Tutors and students can stay at home (e.g. due to sickness) and having tutorials online. It is better to use laptops or fixed computers then portable devices, because via computer students can share their screens and show live process how they fix assignments. Also, using skype students can have their interviews done. Skype can be used for business communications as well – conferences, interviews, negotiations etc.
As for emails and letters, which are existing processes at OBC, the advantage is it can be written evidence when student has missed a class or other cases. Moreover, students can email Kavita from the bus via their smart phones. The next advantage is every student and every staff member has college gmail account, so it is easier to keep in touch. Also, assignments can be submitted via emails like attached files if there is a problem with uploading them to classrooms.
All these ways of communication that OBC use is considered system that makes study and teaching processes easier but it cannot exist without internet connection.
