Sport & physical education at schools in great britain

I. Sport has always been a very important part of a child’s education in Britain. 1)____________. Team games, for example, encourage such social qualities as enthusiasm, cooperation, loyalty, unselfishness, fairness (no cheating) and losing without anger (being a “good looser”). Absolute fairness and losing without anger are considered important.

II. Sport activity is great to be fit and healthy. 2) ____________________ . As well as the com­pulsory PE lessons that everyone has to do, teenagers can take part in extra sports at school.
