Introduction
There are a lot of different words in a language: good or bad, but there is one word that is pleasant to one’s ears and gives a person positive emotions. That word is a personal name. In many cultures, a person has a given name chosen by the parents.
Parents may choose a name because of its meaning. This may be a personal or familial meaning, such as giving a child the name of an admired person, or it may be an example of nominative determinism, in which the parents give the child a name that they believe will be lucky or favorable for the child. In many cultures, given names are reused, especially to commemorate ancestors or those who are particularly admired, resulting in a limited repertoire of names that sometimes vary by orthography. So names are interesting because they often provide a key to the past and origins of our ancestors.
We respond to our name throughout our lives. People associate us with our first name, it forms part of our identity. They help to distinguish us from one to another. Other people gain immediate and sometimes totally subconscious views of people, just from hearing a name they can therefore give us a distinct advantage in life, or conversely, a disadvantage! The choice of a name is, therefore, very important. And those who choose a baby's name are taking on a responsible task!

Hypothesis:
People give different names to their children for different reasons, stating their nationality, place of birth, gender, and others. Some names have clear interpretations because they are inherent to the language of the nation and their meanings are understandable. But frequently, names are not related to the language of the nation because they have been borrowed from other cultures. Therefore a given name can have versions in many different languages. We think that the origins and the meanings of English, Russian and Bashkir names have much in common. There are some names which can be found in England, Russia and Bashkortostan.
