My speciality.

About my family and my musical interest.

My family is not so large. There are four of us – my mother, my father, my sister (brother) and I. My mother is rather slender, blue-eyed and dark-haired. She is a good-natured and an easy-going person. She is a good musician and her hobby is cooking. My father is tall, dark-eyed and fair-haired. He is an engineer and he has a senior position. He is fond of sports. He plays tennis. But his hobby is chess.

My sister (brother) is blue-eyed girl (boy) with fair hair. She (he) is rather pretty (handsome), a little not-headed. Her (his) hobby is music. She (he) plays the piano. She (he) is fond of classical music.

Now my parents are on pension. I have a lot of relatives. Some of my aunts, uncles and cousins live in Kyiv, others – in different cities of our country.

As for me, I am a student of the Ukrainian National Musical Academy. I study at the first (second, third, fourth) year of piano (orchestra, composer, singer, conducting) department. I am found of music from my childhood. I began playing piano at the age of 5, after I studied at musical school and college, then I entered the Conservatoire.

My musical interest is very wide. I am interested in classical music (modern music, pop-music etc.). I am a hard working person. I read many books and listened to different records to improve my musical skill. I took part in different musical competitions and sometimes won the (first) prize.

I try to work in professional groups to improve my skill and widen my comprehension of music. Sometimes I can go abroad with these professional groups and very often we have a success. I need to speak English so I try to visit our English lessons at the Academy.

I have got a very good teacher of my speciality. He (she) himself (herself) works at the best theatres (orchestra) teaches me the skill of playing (conducting) well.

Everybody of us has a dream to be a highly skilled specialist (musician) and work at the best theatres (orchestras, choirs, different musical institutions and professional groups) not only in our country, but abroad too.

After graduating from the Musical Academy we can work as a musical teacher, as a performer at the orchestra, as a conductor, as a composer, as a concertmaster or be engaged in research.
