(The Possessive case (s'/'s).
Большинство существительных не изменяются по падежам, и только одушевлённые существительные имеют два падежа: общий (a boy, boys, Samuel Johnson, a man, men) и притяжательный (boy’s, boys’, Samuel Johnson’s, man’s, men’s).
the child's toy the actress's talent
the boy's bicycle the fox's tail
the man's hat Klaus's car
а) существительные, обозначающие время, расстояние, стоимость (a minute, an hour, a year, a mile, a shilling ):
We have a two weeks’ holidays in February.
b) географические названия и существительные: a town, a city, a country, the world, the earth, the sun, the sea, the ocean:

с) собирательные существительные: a party, a company, a union, an army, a government, a family и другие:
The company’s proposals seemed unacceptable.
d) существительные, обозначающие суда, самолёты, автомашины (a ship, a boat, a plane, a car, a vessel и др.):
Our boat’s crew consisted of six sailors.
At tomorrow’s lesson you’ll have to present your compositions.
the boys' tables
the Dixons' house
the children's home
My friend’s sister – the sister of my friend.
