Неозначений та означений артиклі (‘a’ та ‘the’) стоять на початку іменникового словосполучення. Іменникове словосполучення має наступний вигляд:
артикль – числівник – прикметник – іменник
Це означає, що артикль може стояти перед числівником, прикметником, та перед самим іменником:
