Если в предложении есть два действия, выраженных в Present Continuous,то вспомогательный глагол употребляется только перед первым: She is sitting and reading. Она сидит и читает

Значение и употребление The Present Continuous

Present Continuous употребляется:

• для выражения действия, совершающегося в момент речи или в настоящий период времени. Действие не закончено: My son is sleeping in that room – Мой сын спит в той комнате (сейчас);

• для выражения действия, которое должно совершиться в ближайшее будущее: They are coming at seven – Они приедут в 7 часов;

• для выражения действия, которое происходит в ограниченный промежуток времени или в определенный момент,действие имеет временный оттенок: 1. She is looking for a job at the momen t– Она ищет работу в данный момент. 2. Dick is working as a barman during the holidays – Дик работает барменом в течение каникул.

• с наречиями времени: now – сейчас; at the (this) moment – сейчас, в настоящий момент; at this time – сейчас, в это время; today – сейчас; this week –на этой неделе, this evening – этим вечером.

• для выражения действия, которое изменятся и развивается в настоящее время: Your children are growing up very quickly – Ваши дети растут очень быстро.
