Winnie-the-Pooh visits his friend Rabbit.
Scene 1.
Narrator (стоит справа или слева):
Winnie-the-Pooh, or Pooh for short, is walking through the forest. He is humming proudly for himself. He has made up a little hum this morning.
Pooh (радостно):

Tra-la-la, tra-la-la,
Tra-la-la, tra-la-la,
Rum-tum-tiddle-um-tum,
Tiddle-iddle, tiddle-iddle,
Tiddle-iddle, tiddle-iddle,
Rum-tum-tum-tiddle-um.
(задумчиво) What is everybody doing, I wonder?
Narrator (когда Винни-Пух подходит к норе Кролика):
Suddenly he comes to a sandy bank, and in the bank is a large hole.
Pooh (рассматривая нору):
If I know anything about anything, that hole means Rabbit.
(немного задумавшись) And Rabbit means company.
(радостно) And company means food and listening to-me-humming. Rum-tum-tum-tiddle-um.
(заглядывая в нору) Is anybody at home?
Rabbit (голос за сценой, кролика не видно):
Nobody.
Pooh (рассуждает):
There must be somebody there. Hello, Rabbit, isn’t that you?
Rabbit ( с раздражением ):
No!
Pooh (с недоумением):
But isn’t that Rabbit’s voice?
Rabbit (ещё более раздражённо):
I don’t think so!
Pooh (вежливо):
Well, could you very kindly tell me where Rabbit is!
Rabbit (сердито):
He has gone to see his friend Pooh Bear, who is a great friend of his.
Pooh (c удивлением и радостью):
But this is me!
Rabbit (всё ещё сердито):
What sort of me?
Pooh (громко):
Pooh Bear.
Rabbit (сердито):
Are you sure?
Pooh (уверенно):
Quite, quite sure.
Rabbit (с сожалением):
Oh, well then, come in!
Scene 2.
Rabbit ( c сожалением ):
It is you… Glad to see you.
Pooh (радостно):
Glad to see you too!
Rabbit (Жестом приглашает Винни-Пуха к столу):
What about a mouthful of something?
Винни-Пух быстро садится за стол и оглядывает припасы кролика.
Narrator : Pooh always likes a little something at eleven o’clock in the morning. He is glad to see that Rabbit is getting out of the plates and mugs.
Rabbit (накладывает из горшков мёд, потом сгущёнку):
Honey or condensed milk with bread?
Pooh (довольно улыбаясь):
Both. But don’t bother about the bread, please!
(Кролик садится рядом с Пухом за стол и с удивлением наблюдает, как Пух мгновенно съедает мёд, потом всю сгущёнку. Пух ставит на стол пустую посуду и протягивает Кролику лапу в знак благодарности. Кролик радостно её пожимает, надеясь, что Пух сейчас уйдёт.)
Rabbit (с радостью):
Well good-by, if you don’t want to have any more.
Pooh (с надеждой, облизываясь):
Is there any more?
Rabbit (со вздохом):
No, there isn’t.
Pooh (с сожалением):
Well, good-by. I must go now.
(Пух направляется к двери, пытается выйти на улицу и застревает.)
Pooh (кричит):
Oh, help! I can’t go back and I can’t go on!
( Кролик выскакивает на улицу через вторую дверь в противоположном конце норы и подходит к Пуху со стороны улицы)
Rabbit (обречённо):
The fact is you are stuck! Well, well, I’ll go and fetch Christopher Robin. (Кролик уходит)
Narrator:
Do you remember that Christopher Robin is their friend. He lives at the other end of the forest.
(Появляется Кролик и Кристофер Робин)
Christopher (подходит к Пуху):
Silly Bear! There is only one thing you can do. You must get thin!
Pooh (испуганно):
How long does it take to get thin?
Сhristopher (с напускной серьёзностью):
About a week, I think.
Pooh (с ужасом):
A week! What about meals?
Сhristopher (голосом, не допускающим возражения):
I’m afraid no meals. But we’ll read you!
Narrator:
So for a week Christopher Robin reads a book and Pooh is getting thinner and thinner.
Сhristopher (откладывая в сторону книгу):
Now!
(Подходит к Пуху со стороны улицы, берёт его за обе лапы и тянет на себя. Пух вываливается из узкой двери.)
Pooh (радостно):
Ow! Oh! Thank you! (Быстро убегает)
Сhristopher (смотрит ему вслед и качает головой):
Silly Bear!
