Как подготовиться к экзамену психологически

1. Волнение в ходе сдачи различных экзаменов и даже зачетов - важнейший психологичес­кий фактор, весьма негативно влияющий на качество ответа. Как предотвратить излишнюю нервозность и справиться с собой, скон­центрироваться, собраться с мыслями и показать себя с наилучшей стороны? Один из вариантов — психологическая подготовка. Существует целый ряд психологических упражнений, позволя­ющих сконцентрироваться перед экзаменом и почувствовать себя увереннее, привести себя в состояние спокойствия и уверенности непосредственно перед экзаменом.

2. Одна из техник называется «якорение» (anchoring, от слова anchor— «якорь»). За неделю до экзамена следует вспомнить ситу­ацию из жизни, когда вы чувствовали себя очень спокойно (на­пример, беззаботно грелись на пляже), и «заякорить» это состоя­ние, резко сжав кулаки. Потом вспомнить момент, когда вы чувствовали себя в центре благожелательного внимания (расска­зали в компании анекдот, который всем понравился), — и снова сжать кулаки. «Заякорите» для себя и другие качества, которые нам потребуются. Наконец, уже на экзамене, входя в аудиторию или перед ответом на билет, нужно опять крепко сжать кулаки. Кинететическая система организма сама приведет вас в «заяко­ренное» состояние. Тренировку «якорения» нужно проделывать ежедневно около 30 минут.

3. Другое упражнение — конструирование положительных обра­зов, связанных с экзаменом. Большинство с ужасом думают о на­двигающемся «бедствии», о том, как они «завалится», и подсозна­тельно закрепляют этот негативный образ в своем сознании. Это неправильно, наоборот, нужно моделировать прямо противопо­ложную ситуацию. Например, представлять себе, как уверенно вы выйдете отвечать, как со знанием дела переведете с листа, как бег­ло и без ошибок переведете устно, как выслушаете пленку и четко передадите ее основное содержание, и т.д. Мозг заранее отработа­ет этот вариант и поможет правильно повести себя в экстремаль­ной ситуации.

4. Экзамен, конечно, ответственный момент, но и здесь необходимо уметь взять себя в руки, расслабиться, рассматривая его как своего рода генеральную репетицию гораздо более «судьбонос­ных» и сложных испытаний: перевод важных переговоров, пуб­личных выступлений на большую аудиторию, «синхрон», собесе­дование при приеме на перспективную работу и прочее. Стресс — дело неизбежное и привычное для устного пере­водчика, и его надо уметь обратить себе на пользу.

LOVE between ANIMALS?

1.CAPTIVE Diana monkeys once had a just-for-fun vending machine in their enclosure. Like bored teenagers, they'd drop a token into a slot to get a snack. All of them could do it, except for Beulah. "She would drop tokens alongside the slot or throw them against the wall," says Hal Markowitz, professor of biology at San Francisco State University, in California. "She never managed to insert them on her own."

Maybe Beulah was a slow learner. Or perhaps she was a flirt who just wanted to be pampered. Either way, she attracted the attention of her mate, Rocky. After watching her drop the same token again and again, he decided to come to her rescue. He picked up her token and put it into the slot himself. But he let Beulah eat the treat!

2.NOBODY had ever seen anything like it. The two stray cats were always together. Not only that, one led the other wherever they went, with their tails entwined. How come? Unable to get close to them because they were so wild, a woman who looked after stray cats trapped the pair. That's when it was discovered that one cat was blind. A cloudy film covered his eyes. His sighted brother acted as his guide, hanging onto his tail and always stepping a bit ahead. The rescuer named the blind one Tommy and his brother Tyson. To get them off the street, she took them to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, in Kanab, Utah. There the two lived in a big enclosure with a screened-in porch and high rafters to climb on. "It was perfect for them," says Elizabeth Doyle, a sanctuary worker. Tyson was devoted to his brother for life.
