Области дальнейших исследований

Исследования в области психодинамической психотерапии сталкиваются с серьезными проблемами при попытке использования общепринятой исследовательской парадигмы для оценки ее эффективности. Некоторые из этих работ, цитировавшиеся выше (особенно работы Брома, Клебера, Дэфэрса; Хоровица; Линди; Люборски) предлагают пути преодоления этого препятствия. Существенным является то, что психодинамические психотерапевты находят способы формулировать свои положения как верифицируемые гипотезы. Исследование можно обогатить дальнейшим изучением отдельных случаев и широкоохватными работами, описывающими результаты терапии в разных выборках. В исторических обзорах прослеживается эволюция ключевых теоретических понятий для того, чтобы их можно было пересмотреть и в некоторых случаях заново определить. Цель междисциплинарных программ - привести психодинамический подход в соприкосновение с нейронауками и генетикой, а также с психологией развития, с когнитивным и бихевиоральным подходами. Наконец, наиболее важно, чтобы соперничество противников было переформулировано и воспринималось как сотрудничество коллег. Данный проект является шагом в этом направлении.
