The IU campus is situated in a small town Bloomington in the state of Indiana in the Midwest not far from Chicago, Indianapolis and Cincinnati. It is not difficult to get to the town and to get around the town, so students can easily find academic buildings, libraries and sport centers.
Applicants may apply to IU online or by paper applications. The admission to the university is selective and the admission committee reviews each application.
The university includes several schools and colleges: College of Arts and Science, Kelly School of Business, School of Education, School of Informatics, School of Music, and others. Each school offers a wide variety of general education courses and electives.
Students have to pay a tuition fee, but best students can get a financial support in the form of scholarships, grants and loans. A lot of students work in the evening to pay for their studies. They can work as lab assistants, office receptionists, or food server and so on.
The academic advisors help students to choose a major, to select the course work and move to their graduation. It is especially important for freshmen, or first year students. Freshmen usually live on campus at IU. There are 11 residence halls on campus with high speed Internet connection, telephone service and a cable TV.
In the career planning offices highly skilled career counselors are ready to help students with their internships. They can offer easy access to general information on the internship, help to write an effective resume and meet people from different companies who are ready to hire students. After graduating from the university students can easily find a job in the US and abroad.
