Help – I hate my name
Chris
I hate my name. It’s Chris Smith, and my middle name is John. My name is just so boring! What were my parents thinking? I would love to change it. There are too many men in the world called Chris. Some people with boring first names use their middle names, but I can’t because John Smith is the most boring name in the world! I want to be an actor, so I’d like to change my name to something more interesting, like Brad or Keanu.
Clementina
My name is Clementina Scarlett Ruby O’Connor and I hate it. It’s too weird. I don’t mind O’Connor – that’s OK, but I just want to be called something nice and normal, like Susan or Sarah or Katie. People always expect me to be interesting, but I’m not. I’m a quiet person, and I work in a bank. I’ve never liked my name. I just don’t feel like ‘Clementina’. I don’t want people to notice me. I just want to be normal.
