Hilary: It was a year ago that we first met to discuss the continuing decrease in Sparkle’s readership, and four months have passed since the relaunch. The purpose of this meeting is to analyse the success of our relaunch plan, and the effect it’s having on our sales. Maggie, would you like to start?

Maggie: OK. Our efforts have been very successful in general. To start with, here are some key figures about event we organized to relaunch Sparkle: there were 320 attendees, 185 press kits were distributed, and the press coverage was positive in the two weeks following the September issue

Frank: There’s no doubt that the restyled version of Sparkle has been a hit. The feedback we’ve received from advertisers so far is very encouraging, while the advertising revenue from selling space in the magazine has been very good so far.

Hilary: Well, it’s clear that we’ve managed to reverse the trend. As a matter of fact, according to the latest report I received this morning from the Marketing Analysis department, Sparkle’s print run has been gradually increasing. Over the past four months, we’ve seen a 4% gain in copies sold. This also means we’ve regained 1.12 percentage points of the market share we lost, putting us at 29.12%. All the more reason to propose a toast to the new improved Sparkle and to continued increasing sales.
