Internship at a law firm in The Netherlands

Over the past years the Dutch law firm Kurtenheim has developed its "Foreign Law Student Internship Program".

The aim of Kurtenheim’s "Foreign Law Student Internship Program" is to give Interns the opportunity:

  • to spend a placement with a business law firm in Amsterdam

  • to learn about international legal practice in The Netherlands; and

  • to get acquainted with the legal profession.

Activities of the legal Intern

The activities of the legal Intern will include:

  • basic legal research

  • preparing written advice

  • attending meetings

  • being present at court hearings; and

  • a variety of tasks that may assist Kurtenheim's lawyers in their duties.

The duration of the legal Internship

The duration of the legal Internship can range from a minimum of 1 month to a maximum of 3 months.

The Internships at our law firm are preferably based on a full-time basis.

Applicants for the Foreign Law Student Internship Program are 2-3 year students have an outstanding academic record and a demonstrated interest in business law.

Applicants must be proficient in English or Dutch, both written and oral.

Note: Dutch – голландский

Write a letter of application to the Dutch firm in the name of a British or American law student.

It’s also possible to write in your own name as if you are third-year student.
