Порядок слов в английском предложении
1. Повествовательное предложение:
Для английского повествовательного предложения характерен фиксированный порядок слов:
подлежащее – сказуемое – дополнение
Подлежащее чаще выражается существительным или местоимением:
Mary reads books in English. She studies well at school.
Сказуемое может быть простым (выраженным смысловым глаголом в личной форме) или составным (именным или глагольным):
Last year I went to Moscow. (простое)
But my friend could not go there. (составное глагольное)
Составное именное сказуемое состоит из глагола – связки и именной части, выраженной существительным, прилагательным, числительным:
Her name is Helen. (имя собственное)
Helen is twenty years old. (числительное)
They are free today. (прилагательное)
Дополнение в английском языке подразделяется на прямое, косвенное и предложное. Прямое дополнение обычно ставится после косвенного дополнения:
Give Helen her textbook, please.
Предложное дополнение ставится после прямого:
Show this textbook to Helen.
2. Вопросительное предложение.
В английском языке различаются следующие типы вопросительных предложений:
- общие – General Questions;
- специальные – Special Questions;
- альтернативные – Alternative Questions;
- разделительные – Disjunctive Questions.
Вопросительные предложения имеют твердый порядок слов, который отличается от порядка сов в утвердительных предложениях тем, что сказуемое или часть сказуемого ставится перед подлежащим. В вопросительных предложениях используется обратный порядок слов.
Только в специальных вопросах, относящихся к подлежащему или к его определению, используется прямой порядок слов.
