Перед кожним загапьним іменником повинен стояти артикль.

Якщо ви не вживаєте перед іменником артикль, ви повинні вміти пояснити, чому.

Артикль не вживаеться, якщо перед іменником стоїть присвійний або вказівний займенник, інший іменник у присвійному ві|дмінку, кількісний числівник або заперечення "nо" (не "not"!).

Неозначений артикль a (an) може вживатися тільки із злічуваними іменниками в однині. Перед злічуваними іменниками або іменниками у мно­жині неозначений артикль не вживється.

Означений артикль the вживається як із злічуваними, так і з незлічуваними іменниками в одни-ні i у множині.
