Урок 1 Тема: Проведи лето в Лондоне!
Цели: совершенствовать навыки употребления изученного лексико-грамматического материала, познакомить со строением официально-делового письма, развивать навыки устной и письменной речи, формировать представление об активном образе жизни, развивать навыки делового общения.
Оборудование: проектор, мультимедийная доска, student’s book by Tom Hutchinson English Project 3 Oxford University Press.
Ход урока:
1 Introduction. Spend this summer in London!
Presentation 1. (Приложение 1)
What information do you think people will put in their letters to Sue and Andrew? What questions do you think they will ask?
Pupils give their ideas.
Make a list on the board.
Possible answers: name, age, nationality, occupation, interests.
How much money will we earn?
What will we have to do?
When will we start?
What qualifications are needed?
How long do we have to work?
2 Reading: Exercise 4, p3.
Andrew received a lot of letters. Read one of the letters.
3 Post-Reading Activities: Exercise 4 a, p3.
Make a card for Nina and fill in her details.
Divide into groups of 3 or 4;
Make a copy of the card;
Read the letter again and complete the card;
Checking-up. Complete the card on the board and compare your answers.

1 Revising of the previous lesson.
Pupils give their homework answers and compare them.

2 Listening. Exercise 8, p.4.
Work in pairs. Make a card.

Sue Hi. I’m Sue. What’s your name?
Matt Matt – Matt Swanson.
Sue How do you spell that?
Matt Matt is M- A double T. Swanson is S – W – A – N – S – O – N.
Sue S – O – N. Please to meet you, Matt. Where are you from? You aren’t British, are you? No, let me guess. You’re American.
Matt Canadian. But everyone thinks I’m American.
Sue Well, I was close. How old are you?
Matt Nineteen.
Sue Where do you live?
Matt In London: 29 Liverpool Street, SE 12.
Sue Have you got a job at the moment?
Matt I’m a student. I’m studying to be a doctor.
Sue Mmm that’s interesting. You’ll be good if someone has an accident.
Matt But I want to do something different for a year.
Sue What do you do in your free time? What things are you good at?
Matt I play a lot of sports – basketball mostly. I play the piano, too.
Sue Can you drive?
Matt Yes, I can. I can swim well, too.
Sue Do you want to ask me anything about the job?
Matt Yes, how much do… ( fade out).
3 Post-Listening Activities:

Цели: изучить новый лексический материал, формировать умение употреблять его в речи, изучить новый грамматический материал the past perfect tense, формировать умение употреблять его в речи, развивать навыки устной и письменной речи, развивать навыки аудирования, развивать навыки делового общения, учить вести диалог в ситуации приема на работу, формировать культуру делового общения.

Ход урока:
1 Revising of the previous lesson.
Pupils give their homework answers. Some pupils read their letters or present them on the blackboard.
2 Pre-Listening Activities: Look at the picture on page 42, answer:
- What can you see in the picture?
- How many people are there?
- What is each one doing?
- What’s the girl’s name?
- What is she wearing?
- What is she holding?
Read the text on page 43, find the information in the text:
-What’s the girl’s name?
- Where is she from?
- What does she do?
- Why is she at the job centre?
New words: argument, earn, unemployed.
