Our centre is a not-for-profit non-governmental organization. Founded in 1997, NGO "Youth for Democracy" is dedicated to assist and promote civic education for youth in Kharkiv region. The main goal of YfD is to educate young people to be responsible, productive and active members of a democratic society by means of development and perfection of youth leadership skills, support of local youth initiatives, students and school parliaments. The Kharkiv Centre "Youth for Democracy" works as a resource, methodical and informational centre for debate clubs in Kharkiv region. By the means of organizational efforts the Centre facilitates the development of university and high school debate clubs and societies in Kharkiv region. |
