I HAVE JUST LOST MY JOB
My name is Mary Clark. My daughter and I have been out shopping and we have just returned home. I immediately saw a letter in my letterbox.
As soon as I opened the letter I understood that I had received bad news. I have just lost my job! For the past year I have worked as a private secretary for a rich musician. Recently the musician has decided to stop working, and he has asked me to find another job. I have been the only money earner in the family since my husband’s death. The letter has upset me very much. I have lately bought a new house, a new car, and many new clothes for my job. I haven’t paid for them yet. Now I may not be able to pay for them because I haven’t saved enough money.
