Global Justice Movement
The global justice movement describes the loose collection of individuals and groups - often referred to as a “movement of movements” - who advocate fair trade rules and equal distribution of economic resources and are negative to current institutions of global economics such as the World Trade Organization. The movement is often labeled the anti-globalization movement by the mainstream media. Those involved, however, frequently deny that they are anti-globalization, insisting that they support the globalization of communication and people and oppose only the global expansion of corporate power.

"Now It`s Pepsi for Those Who Think Young"),
Task 3.9 Do you know that…
Perceptions and the concept of time vary widely from culture to culture. Although people in the United States believe the time of an appointment should be kept, in another culture, it is acceptable to be an hour late because time is flexible.
In some cultures, superiors make subordinates wait for their appointments to show the superiors’ importance and higher rank. Power and dignity are shown by arriving late; this is a tactic used in Middle Eastern countries.
In such areas of the world as Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East, time is not important. Being late for an appointment in these areas is normally not considered offensive behavior. In many countries, it is expected that you will be late to dinner or parties; in fact, if you arrived on time they may not be ready for you.
An example of how time is viewed differently in the United States and Tahiti is illustrated by the following story. A woman from Chicago, Illinois, on vacation in Tahiti, was riding a bus from the business area back to her hotel. As they neared the hotel, she got up to get off at her stop as she would have done on the subway or a bus in Chicago. The bus driver in Tahiti stopped the bus in the middle of the street. When she indicated she wanted to get off at the next stop, the bus driver very nicely told her that they had all day, that she was to sit down, and that he could wait for her to walk to the door after he stopped the bus.
