Let me introduce myself
Hello, friends. Let me first introduce myself. My name is Irina. My surname or last name is Popova. I was born on the 31st of January in Vladivostok, Primorsky Kray. This is one of the most beautiful cities in Russia situated on the Sea of Japan coast. Now I am a first-year student of the Economics Department of Far Eastern National Technical University of Fishery.
Now let me describe my appearance. I am rather tall and slim. I have fair hair and blue eyes. My friends say that I am pretty. I love sports and music. I love to listen to the modern music and dance. I dance a lot and I hope I am good at it. I also love jogging and swimming. I always swim in the sea on summer holidays.
I would like to tell you about my family. There are five people in our family. My father's name is Viktor Anatolyevich. He is a financier by education and works at bank now. My mother's name is Julia Vladimirovna. She works as a chief accountant at one of the largest joint venture in our city. She also has much work about the house after she gets home from work. But my brother and I always help her. So, let me introduce my younger brother. He is still a pupil. His name is Nikita and he is in the third form. He is very smart and good at math. We are good friends with my brother. My grandmother, my mother's mother, lives with us. She is very kind and helps us a lot. Our family is very friendly, we have many friends. In summer many relatives come to visit us.
I finished school in May. I did well in all the subjects but my favourite subjects at school were History and English. I also enjoyed Geography lessons. I am very interested in learning English because I always wanted to become an economist or a manager at some joint venture. That is why I think it is necessary to know at least one foreign language. Besides, knowledge of foreign languages helps in everyday life.
