1. Эконометрика изучает количественные соотношения (proportion), взаимосвязи между экономическими величинами на основе применения математических моделей и статистических методов обработки экономической информации.
2. Микроэкономика оперирует такими показателями, как объем производства (output volume) и потребления товара, цена товара, издержки его производства (production cost), выручка от продажи (sale proceeds), эффективность деятельности фирм (firm activity efficiency), предпринимательских сделок, хозяйственных проектов.
3. Макроэкономика оперирует такими показателями, как национальное богатство страны, валовой национальный продукт, совокупный доход (total revenue), объем промышленного и сельскохозяйственного производства, темпы увеличения или снижения производства и потребления товаров и услуг.
