3.3 Pneumatic connections
The connection of the pneumatic system to the net of the customer
is carried out connecting a flexible pipe with internal diameter min.
12 mm, equipped with appropriate end for fixing, directly at the entry
of the filter/lubricator group .
ATTENTION : After having carried out the connection of the pneumatic
system, it has to be checked the correct functioning of
the same system. To do this, before putting in pressure
the circuit, make sure that :
- All protections are correctly installed and functioning.
- There are NO tools mounted on the spindles .
- There are NO pieces, work items or other materials
on the work benches.
At this moment it is possible to put the circuit in pressure.
Before making some test cycles for the movements of the pistons, it has
to be checked that there are no losses of air and that the manometer
placed on the filter/lubricator group indicates a pressure between 5
and 7 bar.
Besides, check that the tank of the oil to lubricate the air is
filled up to the level indicated on its covering.

- (3) First vertical, then horizontal and last lateral groups.
Start the motors [ M1 … … … M9 ] required for the job, operating on the corresponding push-buttons ( fig. 4.8 ).
* The worker places a pile of pieces inside the magazine.
* The working starts when the operator presses the push-button START, that is placed on the mobile control board.
* Once the work is completed, that piece is automatically discharged and a new one is loaded until there are pieces in the magazine.
* When it is required to use the straightening cylinders, the selector ( # 12, fig. 4.8 ) must be in position [ON].
