Warnings

* The personnel operating on the machine must be aware of all such remaining risks .

* The acoustic emission of the machine during the working phase is within normal conditions, as it is below the 70 dB (A) .

Therefore, it is not required to use individual protections for the workers operating on the machine .

* Enclosed to this manual there is drawing ( fig. 2.5 ) illustrating the safety devices located on the machine itself .

3. Installation of the machine

3.1 Preparation of the work area, care of the customer

Work area : It must be foreseen an appropriate ventilation of the

space where the machine will be placed to work.

Clearance : Here-following are indicated the overall sizes of the

machine in order to prepare a free area with such dimensions to permit

its installation. There have to be considered the accesses for the

staff and for all equipments for its handling and maintenance, compa-

tibly with the availability and needs of the customer.

3.2 Electric connections

All operations for the connection of FMOV 1200 9UF CA2 to the electric line must be carried out by qualified and trained staff ( Professional Electricians ), who examined this Manual, with parti-cular reference to the enclosed electric scheme.

The feeding electric line to which the machine will be connected must be equipped with differential magneto-thermal switch, appropriate-ly dimensioned for the absorption indicated.

The voltage and power levels have to be adequate.

The connection is carried out using a three-phase cable having its individual conductors with minimum section of 16 mm2.

The end of the cables, appropriately prepared with test prod lugs, will be fixed to the clamps L1 , L2 , L3 and PE , which are placed inside the electric box. (See electric scheme enclosed to this manual).

ATTENTION : After having carried out the connection, it has to be

checked the correct rotation sense of the motors.

To do this, before giving tension, make sure that :

- All protections are correctly installed and functioning.

- There are NO tools mounted on the spindles .

- There are NO pieces, work items or other materials

on the work benches.

The inspection of the rotation sense of the motors is carried out

observing any of the motors for the drilling units .

If the rotation sense of the motors agrees with the one shown by

the arrow on the frame of each one of them, then the connection is

finished, otherwise it is necessary to invert the phases exchanging

between them the cables connected to clamps L1 and L2 .
