1. Графический интерфейс пользователя (ГИП) – компьютерная программа, которая помогает пользователю работать с компьютером посредством простых символов.
2. В первых персональных компьютерах использовались операционные системы (программы, осуществляющие накопление данных в компьютере и работу всех программ), которые были основаны на текстах.
3. Команды представляли собой непонятную комбинацию букв и цифр, что затрудняло использование системы для непосвященных.
4. Графический интерфейс пользователя заменил эти команды на экране символами, которые называются пиктограммами или графическими символами.
5. Пользователь манипулирует ими при помощи указателей на экране, которые управляются с помощью «мышки».
6. Другая важная черта ГИП это меню, которые подают команды и открывают окна в программах.
7. ГИП сделал возможным перенос файлов и программ, открываемых простым движением пальцев рук.
8. Первый ГИП был изобретен фирмой «Ксерокс» в 1970 г.
9. В настоящее время самый распространенный ГИП – это операционная система Microsoft Windows, хотя ей предшествовала операционная система фирмы Macintosh, созданная для компьютеров Apple.
