Предисловие
Настоящее учебное пособие по английскому языку «COMPUTER SCIENCE (Part II)» представляет собой сборник текстов и упражнений для студентов 1 курса, 2 семестра по направлению подготовки 230100 «Информатика и вычислительная техника». Пособие ориентировано на овладение терминологическим минимумом и включает материал на английском языке, охватывающий основные разделы подготовки специалиста в области информатики и вычислительной техники: операционные системы, графический интерфейс пользователя, текстовые процессоры, базы данных, графическое ПО, мультимедиа, веб-дизайн, языки программирования, специалисты в области компьютерных технологий.
Пособие содержит тексты по вышеперечисленным темам, задания на запоминание и применение лексического материала, тексты для дополнительного чтения, задания на развитие устной и письменной речи, а также упражнения на активизацию грамматики.
Цель пособия - развитие навыков чтения, письма, перевода и общения на английском языке (на материале профессиональной лексики).
