Дисертацію присвячено комплексному дослідженню проблеми трансформації навчальної книги в умовах інформатизації вищої освіти. Виявлено рівень теоретичної розробленості проблеми. Обґрунтовано загальну типологічну модель навчальної книги на основі ознак (змісту, форми, жанру, ролі в навчальному процесі, читацького та цільового призначень) та особливості її адаптації до галузі бібліотечно-інформаційної освіти. Установлено залежність трансформації ознак навчальної книги від впливу соціокультурних змін в освіті. Запропоновано класифікацію функцій підручника в умовах інформатизації за ознакою їх домінування. Визначена структурна композиція сучасного підручника як навчально-педагогічного комплексу, що інтегрує навчально-методичні матеріали.
Установлено напрями вдосконалення навчальної книги в інформаційному середовищі вищої освіти в умовах інформатизації завдяки визначенню критеріїв її адаптації за змістом і формою та моделі функціонування, використання та розвитку в зазначеному середовищі.

The thesis is devoted to a comprehensive study of the problem concerning the transformation of the textbook in the conditions of informatization of higher education. In the context of integrating the national education in European and world information and educational environment the transformation of the textbook, first of all, its adaptation to the new environment, gain in paramount importance. The solution of the problem contributes to adequate quality of training specialists in Ukraine while integrating it into the world community. The main trends of transformation of the textbook in conditions of informatization, which are considered as a change of its content, form and environment of using, adequate to new conditions, have been studied. The author has described the insufficient level of theoretical research into this problem.
The general model of the textbook based on its attributes (content, form, genre, role in a study process, reader and aim purpose) and peculiarities of its adaptation to the field of library and information education have been substantiated. It is proved that a universal typological model of the textbook does not exist. The author has described the particularities of adapting the mentioned model to the field of library and information education. With that aim, the type-kind variety of the textbook (manual, workbooks, training aids, etc.) based on bibliometric analysis of its publishing in 1991-2004 by subjects of educational disciplines according to a curriculum in library and information field of knowledge, genres, years of the edition, place of the edition and languages has been investigated. The author has proved the dependence of the transformation of the textbook’s attributes on the influences of social and cultural changes in education. It is defined that during their evolution textbooks carries out the functions caused not only by their basic purpose – to give knowledge in the field of a particular branch of science, but also by a concrete social and cultural significance, depending on which, its form, contents and genre variety are also changed. It is argued that in the conditions of informatization the textbook as a set of educational books (manual, workbooks, training aids, etc.) is transformed in hypertext system with a dominant role of the textbook as a basic single unit, which has integration features in the hypertext environment at a level of a complex of study materials. The classification of functions of a contemporary textbook based on the attribute of domination as well as its structural composition as a educational and pedagogical complex, integrating science-methodical materials have been demonstrated. It is proved that the transformation of the textbook’s attributes displaying its functions and structural composition predetermines its change from complex to interdisciplinary.
The trends of improving the textbook in the information environment of higher education in the conditions of informatization have been determined. The criteria of the textbook’s adaptation to the modern educational and information environment based on attributes of content and form have been proved. The author has proved the dependence of quality of transferring the information in the textbook on changing its form under the conditions of meeting the necessary requirements as to its contents. The requirements as to the contents (structure, style and completeness of writing, sign system, volume of the information) of printed and electronic textbooks have been generalized. Didactic, ergonomic, artistic-aesthetic and socioeconomic factors of mastering, perception and availability of the educational information have been taken into account. It is argued that the optimal form of the textbook in the conditions of the transition period of informatization is the printed book with an electronic (multi-media) supplement. The prospects of the textbook’s development in the information environment of library education as the offered model of its functioning, using and development in the above-mentioned environment have been determined. The model helps to organize a national network of library and information education. The principles of the model’s functioning in higher educational institutions as an organization of mediacentres have been proved. Mediacentres of higher educational institutions connects them with media environment of an appropriate professional area. The mediacentre is defined as a subsystem of the multi-component information and pedagogical environment, which is realized in organizational and communicative functions of new forms of pedagogical activity of its users. The functions are based on a concentration of the educational and pedagogical information, reflecting the aims of learning, and taking into consideration the modern development of information technologies. The author has analyzed the modern software for realizing the offered model of functioning, using and development of the textbook in the information-educational environment of higher educational institution.

Диссертация посвящена комплексному исследованию проблемы трансформации учебной книги в условиях информатизации высшего образования. Выявлен недостаточный теоретический уровень разработанности проблемы. Обоснована общая типологическая модель учебной книги на основе признаков (содержания, формы, жанра, роли в учебном процессе, читательского и целевого назначения) и особенности её адаптации в области библиотечно-информационного образования. Установлена зависимость трансформации признаков учебной книги от влияния социокультурных изменений в образовании. Предложена классификация функций учебника в условиях информатизации по признаку их доминирования. Определена структурная композиция современного учебника как учебно-педагогического комплекса, интегрирующего учебно-методические материалы.
Установлены направления усовершенствования учебной книги в информационной среде высшего образования в условиях информатизации благодаря определению критериев её адаптации по содержанию и форме и модели функционирования, использования и развития в указанной среде.
