Objective and tasks of the course
The purpose of discipline is to provide systematic knowledge and practical skills to manage international competitiveness of firms in the markets of goods and services, including international and identifying strategies for specific segments and micro market segments. The objective of the course is to master the primary skills of scientific and practical work in the field of foreign economic activity.
After studying the course students should
know:
Basic terms and theoretical and methodological approaches to the management of international competitiveness in world markets
Different policies and conditions of their use
The basis of strategic analysis planning and forecasting;
be able to:
Make the global market segmentation;
Determine the strategy for the competitive global market segments;
Prioritize strategies (with use of others) to competitive markets;
Assess the level of international competitiveness on the global market;
Develop strategies and manage their implementation;
Assess the risk of using a particular strategy.

1. Overview of the classical theories of competition. 2. Key provisions of conflicting theories of competition. 3. System concept of economic competition.
4. Contents and forms of international economic competition. 5. Terms of perfect competition in models of foreign trade. 6. Models of imperfect competition on the world markets.
Task for individual work
According with the work of M. Porter, "International competition" consider and organize the content and form of international economic competition.
