Customs Control of the Vehicles and Cargo Cargo and Vehicle Inspection Systems
The Cargo Scan systems are state-of-the-art portal high-energy scanners for inspection loaded vehicles (container or general cargo), designed especially requirements of high throughput and cost-effective screening cargo. Thanks to drive-through operation mode allowing the vehicle to be driven through portal configuration directly, the traffic flow will not be impeded by inspection process. The systems enable screening the vehicle/container automatically at up to 150-180 units per hour with steel penetration up to 270-300 mm.
The ADANI selected approach would be possible to integrate cargo screening systems into normal cargo operational flow. This would reduce the overall operational area, maintain a clean traffic flow and minimize total costs of screenings.
The Cargo Scan systems, which designed as X-Ray Drive-Thru Portal (DTP), are available in movable (easily relocatable) and mobile configurations.

Movable cargo inspection system with compact 5 MeV-accelerator is cost-effective solution for the detection of illegal consignments inside trucks and sealed containers in free-flow mode operation. It can up to 270 mm steel penetration and inspect 150-180 containers per hour depends on energy. All system components, including the X-ray portal, control and X-ray modules are designed for easy disassembly and relocation during few days.

Text 3 rtl Car Terminal in Novoshahtinsk
The official start of a new car terminal first stage took place in Novoshahtinsk on 25, July 2008.
RTL GROUP created a new car terminal in Novoshahtinsk, thus starting the development of the Southern direction deliveries to Russia. "Yug Terminal Service" Company was created for the project realization and build up works.
To make the customs procedure more efficient in March, 2008 Customs Control Department Warehouse “Novoteh”, situated at a 4 km distance to the terminal, was re-subordinated to Rostov auto-mobile post of Rostov Customs, the Southern Customs Administration. The volume of Customs Control Department makes 80 trucks. Exploitation of new IT-technologies will allow carrying out customs clearance within 24 hours.
Creation of this terminal allows the car producers to reduce expenses due to the opportunity of using deep sea Ukrainian ports, short distance from the terminal to Russian-Ukrainian board and non-overload of customs posts at this direction.
At the present moment a contract for logistics servicing of General Motors is signed with Algai Company. Customs clearance of these cars will be carried out by RTL GROUP.
The 2nd stage of the terminal was started by RTL GROUP at the end of the last year.
